Consensus

At the AMR Webex meeting on April 23, we decided to use the context of other sentence only as necessary to properly connect all components in the current sentence.

Case 1:

• Previous sentence: He said, "Yes.

• Current sentence: That's true. Do NOT repeat say-01 (at the top) in the current sentence:

  (t / true :domain (t2 / that))

Case 2:

• Previous sentence: John is waiting.

• Current sentence: For what? Use previous sentence to annotate amr-unknown with a proper role:

  (w / wait-01 :ARG2 (a / amr-unknown))

We will leave general extra-sentential annotation such as case 1 to a future AMR layer/version (along with extra-sentential anaphora resolution).
