Project Archiving? #27

Closed monicabritton closed 8 years ago

Maybe I missed something, but how do I archive a project? It isn't a "status" choice, and the list doesn't change if I check or uncheck "Show archived".

Thanks,

M

You have to edit then archive, needs to be streamlined

What would be preferred? An archive button on the project page?

monicabritton commented 8 years ago

How about an "Archive/Unarchive" button (or icon) on the main page for each project? (Presuming it can't be added to the "status" choices.)

What would be the argument on not having it as a status?

Removed it from status because there was also an archive (working one) onn the project page. I'd advocate removing the archive on the project page and only have archive as a status.

The reasons for having archive separate are:

  1. Statuses can be customized per project type, and may not always contain an archived option. The system needs something consistent to rely upon for this behavior.
  2. It may be desirable to archive a project, while maintaining a meaningful status.

It seems the chief complaint is making the archive functionality more accessible. I can make that a click of a button from the project page, or even the projectS page.
