Merging this project with bryans original repo #6

Hi,

I'd like to know if there is any interest in merging this work with Bryans orignal project

It seems that there are some handy features of this project. Namely the cmake build and the python bindings.

I'd be happy to help, but I'd need some assistance with the CUDA fixes as I'm not experienced with CUDA.

Hey Geoff. I haven't worked on this in 5 years, as you can see, and @bryancatanzaro hasn't worked on damascene in 6 years. I'd be happy for this to get upstreamed, so at least then there's only one unmaintained repository and not two ;) I'm also happy to add you as a contributor for this if you want to keep working on it.

Okay, that seems fair. It's not essential.

I'm looking at leveraging this in a project I'm working on. I'm not sure if its going to get utilised yet. Just evaluating it.
