Body: provide more detail on how speech recognition works #90

Since speech-based interfaces are so popular now, would love to learn more in-depth on the fundamentals of how it works and how a computer can be controlled by voice. It’s too vague to just summarize it in one sentence “building upon decades of advances to support real-time speech command recognition by applying advances in deep learning” because I have no idea what deep learning is and how it supports real-time speech command recognition.
