these exist in a lot of places online already. we should compile a guide of resources and tips for moderators to help them deal with the workload and psychological consequences of dealing with harassment.

post anything good you find here!

 I just found out about this project from a friend and coworker of mine. The main recommendation that I have is the Maintainer's Guide to Staying Positive. It's intended to be used by open source maintainers dealing with the deluge of bug reports, feature requests and other feedback from people interested in an open source project. I think a lot of the recommendations in it though apply directly to your goal of "help[ing] them deal with the workload and psychological consequences of dealing with harassment", especially the Do's and don'ts section.

Thank you @lee-dohm!

we should also think about gathering/creating more technical resources for the moderators. for example, a basic explanation of what sender verification/email signing is could be useful to them. there might be some info in the resources in #33 for people facing harassment that would help their mods too.

Right now, the moderator view has a link to HeartMob's bystander resources: https://iheartmob.org/resources/bystander_self_care
