Are there plans to have the Fire App Builder support loading YouTube channel videos or playlists?

AmazonDAG commented 7 years ago

Hi Neal, Thanks for raising this issue. We are looking into ways to make Fire App Builder better but don’t have a date at this time. Stay tuned:)

Checking in on this....will YouTube channels be available within fire app builder, or just with WASK?

Is it posible to add a youtube video as a "trailer" or something next to the video that I want to play?

<queuing intro: Phineas and Ferb narrator... '5+ years later'> regarding 'integrating a YouTube channel content into FireAppBuilder templated app' can anyone provide any sample/pointers?

(i'm aware there were content reciprocity issues in the past between Amazon/Prime and Google/YouTube but given these seem to now have been worked out several years ago, it would be great if someone could update the FireAppBuilder template w/a bit of sample code which would facilitate easily creating a FireTV app which streams a specific YouTube channel... and in addition to linking the content source, integrates the various properties like title/date/description/viewCount, enables like/dislike, and allows a few channel sorts Latest/MostPopular/vidCategorySort, Subscribe allowing channel hoster to get follower credit, link to the Channel page on/in YouTube, etc.)
