Do we not yet discuss issues relevant to file types (flat, human vs. machine-readable, ASCII, etc. [I don't even know all the relevant terminology]) and the trade-offs involve in using them (no need for proprietary software, Git recognition of diffs, etc.)?
I know we've discussed this in class in the past, but I can't find it in any of our course notes.
