<pre> ignores leading whitespace #125

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open the attached html in flying saucer.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The first line of the ASCII art in the <pre>-formatted message is not properly 
indented. Leading whitespace is simply ignored.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Please provide any additional information below.
The <pre> block is actually contained in an <td>. I did not check if this 
influences the issue or if any <pre> block ignores indentation of the first 
line.
