Can't line break after 'mdash' ('--- ')

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Create a line that ends with 'Text before ---  ' or ' ---   '
2. Continue on the next line

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
There should be a line break, because of the two spaces, right?
But there is not. Instead there is a single space, so it looks like this:
    Text before&mdash; Text after
Instead of what it should look like:
    Text before&mdash;<br />
    Text after

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Latest version, on Arch Linux, x86.

I can't reproduce this on pandoc 1.2 (which is the latest version). My guess is 
that
you're running 0.46, installed through the Arch pandoc package.  You can 
confirm this
with 'pandoc --version'.  Try installing the haskell-pandoc package in AUR, 
which is
up-to-date (version 1.2).

Thanks, you are right. I was using 0.46. Updated it to 1.2 and it worked fine.
