forward/backward strafe configuration very temperamental #2

I have tried a few ways of configuring everything. I had lots of trouble with never getting more than about 36% output on forward/back and I don't really understand why. I went through different devices and different axis configs all having the same problem. sliders, HOTAS, pedals and joysticks all misbehaving here.

I eventually settled on using a merged axis to combine 2 race pedals into 1 input and setting your plugin to have a non zero curve on the linear setting seemed to make this particular setup provide full range. I literally set it to 0.1

This is interesting, I've had good inputs on my HOTAS (X56) and wheel (G29). Though DInput has a few quirks which might not be handled properly.

Should be solvable by allowing to override the input ranges - in case the device reports invalid values there.

I tried G29 and G25 pedals with a bodnar to make them standalone. The old green TM T16000 X52 Hotas (the updated Logitech one) Fanatec pro pedals

The only one that just worked was the T16000 slider, but it's location is problematic in my setup.

I have a similar issue, but it's strictly limited to wheels. I have a pair of VKB sticks and they work GREAT on anything with thrusters. Hop into a rover and I get no proportionality in fwd and back directions, it's either 0 at the dead zone or 100%. Makes parking impossible. I haven't tried it stock with a controller so I can't say it's Keen issue or not... yet but hopefully this helps somewhat.

Update: Tested a standard xbox style controller (Logitech F310) with their controller config and have the same results. 0% or 100% throttle nothing in between. Irritating, but I hope that may help others.

there is a different plugin that apparently handles wheels pretty well. Analog Wheel Control by Garbius I don't know if these will work alongside each other or not.... probably not if you use the automatic control toggle when you enter a cockpit.
