build fail in opensuse 11.4 by clang 3.6.0

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. download latest memcached
2. run   CC=clang ./configure
3. run   make

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

expected : success without error

I see:

I got the this error when I install memcached(1.4.24) in mac osx(10.9.5), any 
advices to fix this problem?

work around for OSX: 

CC=gcc-5 ./configure

Specifying the CC binary to be a non-clang binary worked for me. I have gcc 
installed via brew
