build in volume controls (at least on desktop)

on the phone, where only one app at a time can play stuff, it may be ok for a music ap to miss volume controls, but not for deskyop where you have multiple apps playing audio at the same time

i am a user who likes to have its systems running 24/7 and it is not helpful to if an app has not easily accessible volume mixer controls and i have to search trough all of my open application having connections to the sound system,
