1) All packet index related integer varibles / parameters changed into type unsigned long; 2) New parameter "packet number tag" added to cope with different packet tag names; 3) Documentation modified in the .xml file.

it seems that the d_first variable is not needed anymore. Could you please eliminate it and remove all code that uses it.
