Sounds like it's writing the manifests to a temp folder, and then something is moving the renders but not the sidecar files. Do you know if that something is Katana or your render manager?
Katana is moving files from temp folders to destination render path.

Ah, there probably isn't a lot we can do about that... Cryptomatte only knows where the file is being saved, and puts another next to it.

Sounds good, maybe they'll have some smart ideas.
Closing this due to inactivity. If something happens here, feel free to reopen it (but Cryptomatte itself can't actually do anything about this).
Hi, I am not sure whether this is a bug or I am doing something wrong. When I switch sidecarmanifests on, I am still getting huge crypto*.exr files and no json manifests. Is there anything else that should be done besides the "sidecar_manifests" switch in the cryptomatte node? Thanks.
P.S. While inspecting the /tmp folder I see that json files are actually there but they are not transferred to final render folder.
