Data Source Manager dialog is confusing at first #32

I found creating new data sources in the Data Source Manager dialog
confusing at first.

My data sources are SQLite3 databases. I encountered several problems
creating a new data store:

1. There is a big 'New' button on the toolbar but clicking it appears to
do nothing. It was not obvious at first that the right-hand pane
(containing New, Description and Backend fields) was where I was supposed
to enter the information for the new data source.

2. When opening the 'Datasource Manager', there is nowhere to select the
SQLite file until the 'SQLite3 plugin' is selected in the 'Backend' combo box.

3. After selecting the backend and choosing the file and a name for the
connection, it is possible to click OK without having saved the connection.

My suggested fix to this would be to re-organise the dialog so that:

1. The 'Datasources Manager' dialog shows the toolbar buttons New, Edit
and Delete and a list of existing connections
2. Clicking the 'New' button brings up a dialog where the user enters
information for the new connection
3. In the 'New Connection' dialog, the 'Backend' field should be at the
top - possibly renamed to 'Database Type' and disable the Name/Description
fields until a type is selected to indicate to the user that this
information is required.
4. Clicking the 'Edit' button in the Data source manager would bring up
the same dialog with a different caption for the user to change the
settings of an existing connection.

Finally - thank-you for your work on this. There are quite a few SQLite
browsers around but very few half-decent ones which support easily working
with more than one database.

Agreed, the datasource manager needs some work!
