Forgot password of WD my passport essential #67

I forgot the password to my passport essential, and i am just wondering if it is possible to unlock and get the files from it?. I am a windows user, i have looked through the issues sections to try to find some sort of help on how to use this program on windows, since that didn't work i thought i should just ask.

OK, can you brief me how should I vary the "skip" value ? incremented or decremented ? and with how much value ?

Can you give me a start and incremental value ? Ex. start from 1953519624 and keep incrementing it by what number ?

EDIT: If I get some other numbers except for 0's after doing the hexdump , would that be indicative as well ?

CHANGE THE NUMBER AND TRY IT UNTIL THE OUTPUT FILE IS BETWEEN 2 AND 3 MB. You are an adult. You can do it. I CAN'T DO IT FOR YOU UNLESS I HAVE THE DISK IMAGE.

@themaddoctor hey, sorry to bother you, since I am new at linux and disks this way just wanted to know on how much should I change the number as in with 1024 , 2048 or 5120 in MB's or just in 100's or just in 1000's, upwards to the 1953519624 value or downwards , so I move towards a definite target and get back to you faster.... anyhow I'll figure out and get back to you.

I have reviewed most of our past conversation. I can only help after you make an image of the disk (you said you would not accept the risk of further damage to the original) and send the sectors that I requested.

I cannot remember my wd passport password. I can however verify that I am the owner with proof of purchase all the way back from 2015. Can you help me please?
