[bug] ignores "ctrl + I" when cursor is on position 1 #350

How to reproduce:

  1. go into a text field, e.g. chapter and edit a text or start a new one
  2. take care, that the cursor is on position 1 in that line, no other chars or spaces are behind it
  3. press "ctrl + I"
  4. Nothing happens.

When you write a char or space, and press "ctrl + I" again, then the font switches to italic as expected.
