Hi, take a look at this: https://docs.bibisco.com/faq/are-projects-created-with-bibisco-version-1-compatible-with-projects-created-with-version-2
In order to recover your project, you have to use bibisco 1.5. You can download it from here for Windows and Linux or from here for Mac.
Please note that bibisco 1.5 is a very old application, and it's not guaranteed to work on current PC/Mac systems.
I am using 1.5.
Ok, I figured it out. I'm posting my solution here for anyone else who has the same problem. I had (in desperation) tried copying and pasting the folder I had into the _internal_bibisco_projectsdb folder without accomplishing anything. In even greater desperation, I instead copied and pasted all of the subfolders of my folder into _internal_bibisco_projectsdb, thinking that maybe, when I copied all this off of the old computer, I created a parent folder for multiple related projects. That must have been what I did because Bibsico now recognizes about half a dozen projects and I can open them. And one of them is the one I was looking for.
Hi! I haven't used Bibisco in years. In fact, I may not even have used it on this computer because I had old Bibisco files and a zip of the program files but it didn't actually seem to be installed. Anyway, I think an old Bibsisco folder I have is one of my old writing projects that I was looking for a couple days ago. I thought checking would be as simple as installing Bibisco (by unzipping it) and loading it up but it doesn't recognize the project. I've tried following the instructions for importing an old project but they don't work. People seem to be saying that the file I need to tell it to import is a .bibisco2 but there aren't any. It's all .db files. This is presumably the same version of Bibisco I was using before. It's 1.5. Can you tell me what the problem is and how I can get at my project? In any program? Thanks!
