Paths with umlauts cause errors

I am using Arch Linux and running whatsapp-viewer through wine in the directory /home/jeinzi/Dokumente/Whatsapp.

Error 1

• Click File > Open
• Choose Auflösung/com.whatsapp/databases/msgstore.db
• Error message appears: "Could not read crypted file."

Error 2

• Click File > Decrypt .crypt14
• Choose msgstore.db.crypt14 as database
• Choose Auflösung/com.whatsapp/files/key as key file
• Error message appears: "Expected key filesize of 158 bytes does not match."

Solution

Especially the second error led me to think that I had the wrong key; but as soon as I renamed the directory "Auflösung" to "Aufloesung", both errors disappeared and I could open and decrypt my database.

Btw thank you for developing such an important Free Software; it enabled me to finally get rid of Whatsapp without loosing everything I wrote and was told during the last seven years :)
