This seems like a very cool and useful project so... is this project alive?

andredebuisne commented 5 years ago

HI @nafergo, The project is not dead, but as I gone from archaeology to computer science studies, I have not found the time in recent months to work on it. I expect to resume development in the following months, but with some important changes and improvements.

If you have any questions, let me know!

I was looking for a simple way (no complex setup and local storage - maybe share sqlite or so through dropbox or alike) to organize my projects (visualization work mostly for artefacts, sites ): dates, names, georef, attach documents, etc. and I read "packaged .exe will be uploaded soon" so wanted to know what happened :) Although I was looking for an english and linux version :) to try because although not what I was looking for this really seems interesting! btw, any suggestions would be great :) and good luck for your studies! hope you still manage to connect both archaeo-cs as there are so many opportunities

I can only recommend DB browsers right now (https://sqlitebrowser.org/) or other Relational Database tools. I know there are a few other Archaeological Information Systems out there (iDAI.field 2.0, CAD2GS, OpenContext), they might suit your needs. I am actually planning on making this a linux project eventually, as I want the project to be completly open-source and community-driven. I'll post here when I have more advanced features, and if you have any ideas/requests, feel free to reach out to me!
