In my Bedwars1058 setup, I’m experiencing a critical issue where mobs, specifically the Dream Defender and snowballs, are not spawning or functioning as intended. Despite thorough troubleshooting, the problem persists, preventing gameplay from proceeding as expected.
Version: 1.18.2
Troubleshooting Steps Taken:
Server Properties:
Verified that the server properties are correctly configured to allow mob spawning. The spawn-monsters setting is enabled, and there are no conflicting settings that would prevent mobs from appearing.
Difficulty Settings:
Changed the server difficulty to various levels (Peaceful, Easy, Normal, Hard) to see if this would affect mob spawning, but there was no change in behavior.
Console Errors:
Checked the server console for any error messages related to mob spawning or Bedwars1058 functionality. No relevant errors were found during gameplay, indicating that the plugin appears to be running smoothly.
Plugin Configuration:
Reviewed the Bedwars1058 configuration files for any settings that could impact mob spawning. Ensured that all relevant options related to mobs are properly set.
Conflict with Other Plugins:
Temporarily disabled other plugins that may interfere with Bedwars1058’s functionality to rule out conflicts. This included checking for any other plugins that might control mob spawning or item mechanics.
Testing in Different Environments:
Attempted to run the server in a single-player mode and in a different world to determine if the issue was world-specific. Still, the Dream Defender and snowballs failed to spawn or work.
Reinstallation:
As a last resort, I reinstalled the Bedwars1058 plugin to ensure no files were corrupted or missing. However, this did not resolve the issue.
Expected Behavior:
Upon purchasing the Dream Defender, it should spawn in the player’s base and function as intended (e.g., defending against attackers).
Snowballs should be usable as a throwing item, affecting players and mobs accordingly.
Current Behavior:
The Dream Defender does not spawn, and snowballs are non-functional. This significantly impacts the gameplay experience in Bedwars1058.
