Improve load performance #294

On my (admittedly old) machine, loading 
http://gtfs.s3.amazonaws.com/oc-transpo_20110806_0242.zip takes 6 minutes and 
40 seconds. 

It would be nice if the load was incremental (pulling in stuff as needed), or 
cached a copy of the work somewhere, so the next Load() would be less 
expensive.
