Auto-updater is downgrading snapshot builds #11

Haven't figured out how or why yet. doesn't happen for me on linux, doesn't seem like that should be a factor though

Changing the default setting to notify instead is the best solution at this point

already done, but it's not really solving the problem. the auto-updater shouldn't be doing anything when its running a snapshot build.. I'll have to figure out the real cause.

Would using a update notifier be better? Just notifying and linking updates instead?

also it would make sense that the updater would be issues, without it knowing the current version is beta, it finds and downloads 1.5 and causes issues. The updater needs differentiation.
