Old bugs fixed #22

Hello buddy,

I know this version is kind of old and has been hanging around on my local machine for ages, BUT, there are some bug fixes I did on it for the plugin ages ago.

Please, assess those changes and evaluate if they are valuable fixes for your official repository.

I didn't have time to merge with latest before checking-in, so I am sorry. Things are going wild for me at the office recently, and someone sent me email recently asking for those bug fixes and I thought it was a good idea to put them here on Git and create a pull request for you.
