Beyond the revolution: about the motivations and the philosophy of the project

I would prefer not to speak of revolution but of a new beginning in the form of make science. The idea of a revolution has two main disadvantages:

• It could lead to thing that we want to change what is already there and, right or wrong, is working and giving profits to a certain group of people.
• The other disadvantage is that it might lead to thing that we want to confront our project with the status quo of science and underestimate it.

The idea of a new beginning means on the contrary a sort of indifference to the way in what science is made today. It means chiefly: ok! what you are doing is good, but we want to start something different. A new way of make science: it is not better, it is not worse, is different, is new. I think that we have to have a rhetoric of no confrontation.

Perhaps we should start to flesh out an About page (or something like that) where we can share our motivations and implementation ideas. I think we should also in the root page write in a couple of brief sentences what the project is about.
