I also think that the Interpretation could tightened a little bit, @andrew-zentner. The two paragraphs beginning with "Another possibility" and "This 'splashback' hypothesis" are a little repetitive; the second of these two paragraphs doesn't add much, so consider combining these two.
I would like to see the concluding paragraph to the Interpretation section that I wrote with this PR, but if you think this is beating a dead horse then it's fine by me if this is removed. Maybe @vdbosch69 can also weigh in here.
