kartenvergnugen commented 4 years ago

Hi there! I'm a GIS instructor, and would love to use some of this data in a lab activity. May I?

kartenvergnugen commented 4 years ago

Also, is the DEM included in any permission you might grant? Thanks.

ghost commented 4 years ago

Go for it!

kartenvergnugen commented 4 years ago

Thank you!

In case you're curious, here's the lab (COVID version, will likely be more involved in a future term): https://www.geospatial.institute/viewshed-analysis-or-what-could-saurons-eye-really-see/

That's really cool. And I hadn't heard of Middle Earth Geek Squad or their efforts. Thanks.

Hello. Thank you for these maps. I also would like to know if we can use the maps for spatial analysis exercises in R. Thanks for your consideration!

ghost commented 3 years ago

Yes, you may.

Thank you!

We are developing patch-occupancy exercises and hope to have students investigate the spatial distribution of trolls.

I’d be more than happy to cite the work other than just the link if you tell me how to do so!

Thanks again, Terri

Hi! I'm a GIS instructor as well and would like to use your ME data for preparing some of the courses in the textbook. I was wondering, may I use your data? Also, if I get your approval, is there a specific way to write contributions towards your team and your work?

ghost commented 3 years ago

Hi Abatina, would this textbook be sold commercially, or is it more for your class?

abatina commented 3 years ago

Hi jvangeld, it is a University textbook primarily for use for students at the Uni. But it will also be available for commercial use for other interested parties.

ghost commented 3 years ago

You know what? Go for it.

abatina commented 3 years ago

Thank you, I really appreciate it!
