Camera import in Houdini: additional transforms on cameraShape node #264

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

When exported a bit more complex camera rig from Maya (a few transform parents
on the camera), when the .abc file is imported in Houdini, the resulting
cameraShape node has some additional (unnecessary) transformations. Zeroing
these out will give the correct results.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Alembic 1.0.3 on linux for export, using the importer for h11 provided by
sidefx.

The attached file contains two scenes: the camera itself, and a locator node in
world space (where the camera should be). After importing both, and zeroing the
translate/rotate parameters on the cameraShape node in Houdini, they match up.

I found out that the additional (non-zero) transforms came from my own Houdini
camera obj preset, which had the non-zero transforms.
