@andrewlimaza Was there a reason this was merged in master but #21 was left in test (which would have left this PR unnecessary)?

@ecaron this is easier to merge in as it was a one line fix, and this fixes an issue directly with WP 5.5+ and getting out as quickly as possible. I haven't forgotten about your merged branch, things take time as I have a few projects I maintain in my free time.
