People don't often find the feature to customize their mod pack when on the crafting page, and therefore sometimes get crafting plans which use machines from mods they don't have or don't want to use. There should be a way for people to indicate they don't want to use those machines / mods directly on the crafting page.
SOLUTION
There should be an "options" section in the same panel as the "Calculate" button which allows the user to specify a variety of things, including machines they prefer to use and machines they prefer not to use. Further, each crafting step should have a button which allows the user to mark the current machine as "not preferred".
