Fix inaccuracies and better formatting #8

Pull request fixes some outdated information, adds a small amount of interesting research, adds color highlighting to some code blocks, and fixes some formatting not conformative to the markdown specification.

Might want to fix your code block CSS to make highlighting look better if you accept this image Didn't want to mess with that because I don't know how you exactly want it to look.

Looking at this further and thinking about it, I am going to close this PR and open another one in a few days that has much more info. I'll also figure out some of the issues with code highlighting since it seems to have a lot of oddities.
