Newer version of the bindings or libgroove seems to peg the cpu at idle #35

I've been trying to run down where the change happened between the jessie package and the latest versions, but I can't get the bindings to build for any older versions. About to give up, but would appreciate it if you can point me in the right direction? Not that I know a lot about the C bits of all of this anyway...
