Subpar drawing performance for expert and ecoregion maps #86

Open walterj opened 13 years ago

remains a serious problem. Especially for species with large extent. Try e.g. Nycticorax nycticorax and zoom in / out. We'll need to find a solution for this.

Did we close this issue out. Seems like a known problem with ecoregions and how they are called. My concern is that the range maps also look slow to load, but hard to know where things are bogging down.

Open, unresolved and important issue in my eyes. Walter

Ah, should have been more clear. Looks like we did close the previous, related issue so good to get this re-opened. I know we have some comments about development paths forward in that previous issue.

This issue is related to #71. The path forward requires a database. Reopening issue with labels Priority-High and Status-Accepted.

Thanks, Aaron. Appreciate the re-open after mistakenly closing this. Hitting "Comment" now not "Comment and Close".

Ha, yeah, I do that a lot. I think the comment button should be blue or something.
