camera is not connected! message

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.open examples
2.select depth image
3.hit run

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
depthMap supposed to run, installed today first time

SimpleOpenNI Version 0.27
Can't open the depthMap, maybe the camera is not connected!
camera is connected blinking green light between the ir and rgb cams

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
processing 1.5.1
OS X 10.8.2
3.06 GHz Intel core duo

Please provide any additional information below.

After trying anything I could find, 12 hours or so over three days , found this 
website.
The problem is tied to 10.8 of OSX but not sure how.
After following the instructions the Kinect worked.

What kinect model do you have?
There are problems with model 1473.
Read this https://github.com/OpenKinect/libfreenect/issues/316

Or try renew libusb.
