Detecting Lights #70

Good evening everyone.

I'm working on a Kinect poject, i'm detecting the position of a user and I want 
to compare his position with the position of every available lights in the room.

I don't know how to detect the lights, because they might all have different 
shapes, or the room where the kinect is placed might have different lightings.

I was thinking maybe putting a dot on the lights with a particular color and 
detecting the dot, but the solution isn't "pretty".

If you have any ideas, or sample code that would really help.
