Will it work if you update room version in gradle/libs.versions.toml from 2.6.1 to 2.7.0-alpha04? 2.7.0-alpha03 fixed several bugs related to KSP and Kotlin 2.0
I tried 2.7.0-alpha04, but it still gives the same result. Even if I invalidate cache.
This is the maybe problem from doesn't yet support OS.
See this documentation. https://developer.android.com/jetpack/androidx/releases/room#2.7.0-alpha01
Current supported platforms are Android, iOS, JVM (Desktop), native Mac and native Linux.
I'm not sure that Fedora is native Linux or not.
They are KMP-target platforms, not development environment.
I seem to have found the problem.
I created a new project to see if it was the new version of Android Studio and did some tests. I left it in order.
I ran the Compose template (It worked).
I added KSP and Room (Didn't work).
I removed Room and added Hilt (It worked)
I removed KSP and added KAPT and added Room (It worked).
Room and KSP seem to work, but they don't work well together en Fedora. Does anyone know if this problem is already reported. If not where would it be better to report it in KSP or Room?
To clarify, I am only implementing the dependencies and running Make Project. And using KSP 1.8 and KSP 2.
Is there an existing issue for this?
Is there a StackOverflow question about this issue?
What happened?
I downloaded the new version of Android Studio Koala | 2024.1.1, and I'm importing the project and everything is fine until I try to make a Make Project.
OS: Fedora 40 AGP: 8.4.0 Branch: main Build variant: app (demoDebug and demoRelease)
