I tried the software with Fedora SilverBlue 40 and Samsung S6 Lite. I setup the udev rules, and my user is in the virtualpen group. I have rebooted since.
So permissions should be fine.
However when I start the android app, set the screen resolution in linux app, and press connect, I get the same permission nag and guidance to run setup.sh. After getting rid of that dialog the linux app shows "connected", but the mouse cursor won't react to any pen events on tablet.
So something still missing from permissions?
