hm, drivers version?
but still strange, xevan uses specific kernels, and all of them didn't change for ages except one(but this one used in a lot of algorithms, so not a case). So one more question - any OC applied to a card?
any OC applied to a card
Yes, but unchanged for all miners (using same AfterBurner config for years). This has so far never been an issue. And it also works with all other algos with WildRig.

31.0.14051.5006 | 3516.0 (PAL,HSAIL), 20.04.2023
These are the latest (I know of) that work for the combination for RX580 & RX5700. Newer drivers don't work with RX580.

can you try to run it without OC applied? Xevan is pretty different from all other algorithms, so that can be a case
can you try to run it without OC applied?
Just did. Cold restart without any OC. Miner starts, GPU Core & mem clock quickly jump to 2000Mhz. Then mem clock drops to idle 200Mhz (GPU clock remains high). No mining after this, power consumption is at 80W.

ok, thanks, will try with my 5700XT on older drivers too. And as I understand - other algorithms work just fine?

Yes. All other algos with 0.39.9b work fine with RX5700
things become even odder. It does work on my 5700XT with some standard AMD driver(stated as 3516). Also after DDU I installed 3444(released 2020.12) and it also just works. In both cases kernel format is new one, so I will try some older version of drivers, but looks like problem is not this. Can you try 1 thread per gpu? --gpu-threads 1
After some quests with Windows replacing my drivers I have installed one released on 2019.12. On this drivers xevan do hang, but looks like it's related to a driver. --gpu-threads 1 solves the issue.

Yep. --gpu-threads 1 solves the issue. --gpu-threads 1 also improves performance on RX580 (2.5MH/s -> 2.7MH/s)

0.39.9b should be better with two threads on RX580, there was some regression introduced for old Polaris/Vega gpu's. But maybe it's not, need to test )
Xevan is still not working in 0.39.9c (without --gpu-threads 1)
Bin\Wildrig-v0.39.9a>wildrig.exe --algo xevan --api-port 4001 --url stratum+tcp://xevan.eu.mine.zergpool.com:3739 --user ********************* --pass c=BTC,mc=BSD,ID=************** --multiple-instance --opencl-devices 1
Neither ZergPool nor Zpool work. Other GPUS, e.g. RX580, GTX1660 Super work fine.
