I can't get homeshick to work on my Arch Linux machine. I sourced the homeshick script (with no file extension) in my .zshrc and after that could not start a new graphical terminal. Remove the line and it works. I tried to reboot and log in via TTY, it gives the help message and after that logs me out immediately. I had to chroot into the system and remove the line from the .zshrc to be able to have a working shell again, after that.
If I source the file via command line, the terminall session always crashes. I have re-cloned the repo to see whether the clone was faulty, but nothing changed. I ran the "interactive" testing script, too, if I source the file from this prompt, it gives the help message again, but does not crash. I am still left with no homeshick commands after that.
Note that I got started with Homeshick just yesterday, so I might be doing something wrong.
