Currently tree status as recorded in the census is ignored.
The implications of this include:
1) estimating growth after tree mortality, and
2) treating trees that have fallen mid-way through the census as live and standing.
A first pass solution is to only include trees that are alive and standing in the 2019 census in dataset used in subsequent analysis. This will result in underestimated biomass.
A better solution is to only estimate latent diameter and increment for the time periods for which trees are live and standing.
