Information icon tooltip as a measure? #20

We want to use the Information icon for little snippets of information referring to a visual. Would we be able to change the tooltip text per icon if its a measure? @sylwiasajdakLCC

A measure for every tooltip is overkill (from Andy). We have a report with over 55 tooltips in

I'd only suggest it for elements that are used across multiple pages

Okay I've reread the thread and see what your original intention was for the tooltip. I previously used the i icon as a button to open up an overlay with additional information, hence why I assumed here it would serve a similar function.

If the intention is to use a different icon and tooltip for each visual then I agree that using measures doesn't make sense in this instances. It only made sense in my previous use cases because the text in the icon tooltip needed to be the same across different pages.

However, I'm curious why you opted for a separate icon when header icons provide a similar functionality? image image image
