Application "stuck" after Validating Custom FetchXML Query that is an invalid query #7

There is an issue that occurs when using the Custom FetchXML Query functionality. If the fetch query is invalid, during validation (record count) an error pops up and then the stop button is the only button shown.

Steps to fix:

[ ] Handle the error differently than currently
[ ] In the case of an error, reset the app as if the query still needs validation

Handle the error differently than currently - needs to let the user know what's happening or that an error has happened. I have an issue similar but the XML is correct in this case. But no feedback at all - but would be good to have an indication of what has gone wrong.
