I would like to update the map data to the current version from naturalearth.com. I can find a general description on how the naturalearth data were preprocessed for rworldmap and rworldxtra, but it is hard for me to reconstruct the steps to take in order to produce, say, a new version of countriesHigh.
Are there step-by-step instructions on what to do, and the scripts that were used for data checking and transformation? (I understand there is some manual labour involved -- that's fine with me, of course.)
(My apologies if I have overlooked the obvious, in case this information is in fact available. Any pointer would be appreciated.)
