Baskets crafted from papyrus are recycled back into cattails #1017

There are should be two variants for each basket, because it is unfair that you can get cattails back, but you CAN'T get papyrus back

They are made from two different materials, but only return one! image image

I think this can be considered a small bug. It used to be that papyrus plants would drop cattail. Then they added the papyrus item, and made it so baskets can be crafted with it. Papyrus should make papyrus baskets that can be recycled back to papyrus only.

This is under discussion. Our three basic options are: 1) make an entire other set of baskets and skeps, made of papyrus, so they can be recycled back into papyrus. 2) unify the drop, but then we can't maintain separate function for papyrus (such as paper making bonus) 3) make a standardized 'reeds' drop, but papyrus has to processed with a knife or something to turn it to reeds. If the player wants to use it for paper, they'd use the 'raw' papyrus. If they process it to reeds, they're accepting the loss of that bonus. Cattails would just drop reeds from the start.
