Cursor disappears for player while streaming #2251

Game Version: 1.17.8 (Stable) Platform: Windows Modded: Yes (various, but occurs in all games and home screen with or without mods)
SP/MP: Singleplayer

Description

When streaming to Discord, as of the newest stable update, my cursor become invisible in game for me (and viewers). If I share my entire screen, instead of just the Vintage Story app, then the mouse is visible both for me and for the stream. I experimented with Discord settings and tried it with two other games which have a visible mouse cursor ("FTL" and "The Pirate: Caribbean Hunt") and both other games maintain their cursor visibility in all attempts. These results carry unchanged, in all three games, while streaming to different channels within the same server and on different channels entirely.

The mouse still works and highlights, interacts, etc, but cannot be seen. Enabling immersive mouse mode does also works normally, except that the mouse is still invisible at all times. Disabling the stream restores the mouse visibility without needing to restart.

How to reproduce

  1. Launch Discord and Vintage Story (you do not need to load a level)
  2. Start a stream viewing the app (all methods of starting a stream have the same result except doing a full screenshare.)
  3. Mouse disappears upon switching back to the game.

Expected behavior

It is obvious. This was a problem, though, when I was trying to stream to show people what the game is like and convince them to play with me. It made the game practically unplayable, or at least looking very unfun to deal with.

Have a same issues. Cursor disappears.

Description

Everytime is running the game and OBS cursor in VS disapper. No matter if streaming or recording or only run OBS. See cursor in OBS scene, but not in the game. Anytime closing OBS Studio solve the problem but it´s really anoing to stream or recording VS nowdays.

Thank you to try to solve this.
