Weird Tree Generation #2495

Description

I've been noticing Walnut, Oak and Maples, the odd Pine as well, spawning in weird ways around the world. I don't think this is intended, have a look.

How to reproduce

This is a world generation issue it seems like.

@Craluminum2413 Can confirm that trees are still generating with fewer leaf blocks than they were in 1.17.x. They've been doing this since 1.18.0 and is still happening as of 1.18.7. My hypothesis is that it's related to the change that was made to prevent chopping down adjacent trees' branches when chopping down one tree.

@tyronx This is the bug I mentioned during your development stream the other day. ;)

Here are some screenshots of how trees are generating for me. If pine and larch are affected by this bug, they are not impacted as much.

2023-08-13_13-34-41 All of my kapok trees have grown with these tiny little crowns, as seen in the above screenshot. These are the third set of kapoks I've grown that ended up this way.

2023-08-13_13-16-28 Here is a birch tree that's been pretty typical of tree generation. Pardon the lantern--I put it there because I was a dummy and was taking screenshots at night.

2023-08-13_13-20-11 This maple tree has no side and no top.

2023-08-13_13-34-46 Here is about the leafiest birch tree that's grown in my world.

2023-08-13_13-35-20 Oak tree generation--very lumpy and uneven, missing leaf blocks everywhere.

2023-08-13_13-35-27 The trunk is even exposed at the top of the tree--this never happened in 1.17.x.

It's so bad that I'm struggling to get enough seeds from trees like birch and maple to keep my tree farms from dying out.

@Craluminum2413 May as well go ahead and mark it as fixed. The change to tree generation in 1.19 fixed this issue.
