Description

I joined the server while someone was sleeping, and time was flying fast and the sun was travelling very fast. After leaving the game and rejoining, it was correct again, seems like a desync issue. Did not attempt to reproduce yet.

Did it happen in 1.19 too?

GreaseMonk commented 2 months ago

i have been playing stable for over a year, and i do not recall it ever happening - its very situational - so i can't tell if this is a new bug unless i try this out a couple of times on my test server. i'll leave another message once it happens again, if not, feel free to disregard or try to reproduce locally

@Craluminum2413 here's another guy with the same thing i witnessed: https://www.reddit.com/r/VintageStory/comments/1fyg9wc/help_i_think_something_broke_in_my_game/

Aggravating_Wing8695 This happens when your game saves while you're sleeping. Just sleep again and it should fix it.

Vathez I had this happen when I slept and then left the game immediately after my character stood up. In my research, I found that the time hasn't slowed down yet since waking and when you log out, it locks in that time when you start the save again. All I did to fix it was sleep again and make sure that time goes back to normal afterwards.

So in theory we can deduce that this could be reproducible with some combinations of sleeping and the game saving at the same time.
