Window mode resets after screen goes into sleep mode (Windows 10) #4571

Description

While playing using 'Maximized Borderless' screen mode, after screen goes into sleep mode(configurable in power options), this option resets to fullscreen, that ignores VSync option (On + Sleep) causing frame tearing with 60Hz display frequency and 74 FPS Limit.

How to reproduce

(Happens always on my version of windows and game)

  1. Turn on power saving option to turn off screen after some time
  2. Wait till the screen is black, and then make some clicks to wake up computer screen
  3. Fullscreen should be enabled at this point (Possibly, in the settings menu there will be still Maximized Windowed shown as selected option). Screen tearing is also present within this state.

Attached a video, frame tearing is not visible on the video tho, but it was visible IRL.
