Wayland? Likely a duplicate of #381.
I have the same problem, but I am not using Wayland ($XDG_SESSION_TYPE is x11).

EDIT: I found the problem. I use moltengamepad so I can remap my gamepad and mouse (I have a gaming mouse with extra buttons). It seems that this is conflicting somehow with Vintage Story, because the problem goes away when I stop moltengamepad. It's unfortunate that I can't use moltengamepad with this game, but it's a workaround.
EDIT 2: It turns out that moltengamepad sends mouse buttons to one device and mouse movements to another device. Vintage Story appears to reset the camera whenever an event from a mouse device is sent that is not the same as the last mouse device. You can see it happen without using moltengamepad by plugging in 2 mice and switching to a different mouse. I have sent a pull request to moltengamepad to fix the problem.
