You mean that games and apps should be in their separate sections? That would be awesome :)
Thanks for the suggestion!
Including games would definitely open up a whole new world of opportunities. However, with these opportunities also come challenges.
Right now, the scraping script already takes about 2 hours to run, and our repository is filled with a lot of apps that were added initially without much filtering.
I plan to clean up the repository to focus on essential and highly requested apps, which will help us maintain a cleaner, more efficient, and regular update-checking process. Once the repository is streamlined, I’m considering adding a feature where users can submit a Play Store app, and the system will check for available mods. However, this feature still needs to be planned, as it will require more processing power than my Raspberry Pi and will also necessitate a VirusTotal Premium API. But this won't happen immediately as I'm currently busy with refactoring and implementing the 3.0 features. Since I can only work on this project on weekends, it's a lot to handle right now.
I’ll also create a contributing.md file soon, which should help speed things up.
Ok, i think i get it
Current task is a hurdle, then once started on this suggestion, to reduce the load on your system ( til more space is provided? ) the user must check for available mod with a play store link? Which will need a VT premium
... Sounds good ... If i have nailed it
I really wish i could help ... My health has taken a turn and i have already applied for disability
If i can help with further suggestions then allow me to keep using this ... Thread? ( I dont use github for ideas or projects, except cor grabbing stuff, 'XD ) For what i can think of
Such as maybe a suggested and verified short list of 5 games, refreshed daily or by force closing the app ... I dont know if that would actually help ...
Lucky patcher has a massive collection of custom patches that can be appllied directly to the untouched apk, maybe that's worth considering? (Link) See https://patch.chelpus.com/ for the custom patches.
How about a Update Me for Games?
Im tired of finding bad games that may not work for me and may create malware
Use the same categories as google play store and the same resources/structure for Update Me
Or
You could apply it to 3.0, could be less work
Im no programmer, so i hope this idea helps you
If you want icons/better categories ( and sub categories ) then i would still use Google Play store for its icons ... Unlkely copyrighted ... If they are, then oh well
Sorry, just shooting the breeze at this point ... Thanks for coming to my TED Talk
